E.ON - Fixed Price 5 - prices fixed 2 winters

E.ON have launched E.ON Fixed Price 5.

The key elements of E.ON Fixed Price 5 are:

* Prices will be Fixed for Two Winters - Whatever happens to energy prices yours will be fixed until 1 July 2013.
* Available to dual fuel and single electricity customers (single electricity product is not available with other E.ON gas products)
* Customers can pay via MDD or prompt CC. Not available to Prepayment customers
* Tesco Clubcard points are available
* No cancellation fee
* IGT charge applicable
* Customers can manage their accounts on line and get paperless bills but will not receive an online discount
* No Mains Gas discount is not applicable
* Following your E.ON Fixed Price 5 end date of 1 July 2013 we will switch you to a similar plan or E.ON EnergyPlan At the same time E.ON removed E.ON Price Protection April 2013 from sale.

British Gas Energyshare Tariff

British Gas has announced the withdrawal from market & the existence of Future Energy and Future Energy Plus, along with the launch of Energyshare with immediate effect.

Energyshare is an innovative idea, supported by River Cottage that aims to fundamentally change the way people source, use and generate their energy.

Customers who sign up will see the amount of electricity used by them matched with British renewable energy. British Gas will give the customer a choice of a free Energy Efficiency gadget from a selection of four. They will also donate £10 every year to the energyshare fund and the customer can vote online to have their say on where the money goes.

* This is available to new or existing customers
* This is available to electricity only customers or Dual fuel customers with gas standard tariff
*Only available to credit meter customers paying by Direct Debit

As part of the energyshare launch British Gas will be automatically migrating their green base of customers off their current green proposition onto energyshare. Customers will receive a letter which gave them information about energyshare and the ability to opt out of the migration and move onto standard energy.

New Scottish Power Tariff

ScottishPower has today launched Platinum Fixed January 2014 v3.

Platinum Fixed January 2014 v3 provides extended levels of cover and protection, not only on your energy prices, but also on your gas boiler until January 2014.

Platinum Fixed January 2014 comes with ScottishPower's HomeComfort standard boiler care as a standard feature. A boiler breakdown can be more hassle than you think, but with HomeComfort from ScottishPower customer's don't have to worry about a thing, they can relax in the knowledge your boiler will be working again as soon as possible.

The tariff is available only to dual fuel customers happy to pay by monthly direct debit. Both online and offline versions are available.

New British Gas Tariff - OnlineSaver 4

British Gas has today launched OnlineSaver 4 and removed OnlineSaver 3 from the market.

OnlineSaver 4 provides the customer with a 4% discount versus British Gas Standard rates until 31st October 2012, at which point customers will be moved onto another product or to British Gas standard tariff rates.

The tariff is only available to customers taking the EnergySmart proposition option There are no cancellation fees



EnergySmart is open to single and dual fuel acquisition and existing customers - EnergySmart is added to the customer’s usual tariff (apart from discounted tariffs like WebSaver) so they can see and pay for exactly the energy they use on a monthly basis, getting rid of estimated bills. (Where the customer provides their own read in the meter read window)

New Npower online tariff

Npower has launched Go-Fix6 with effect from 9th May 2011.

Go-Fix 6 is a new online fixed npower product designed to give Monthly Direct Debit customers security and peace of mind through fixed energy prices. It offers both dual and single fuel customers fixed prices until 31 July 2012 if you manage your account online. A £20 cancellation fee per fuel may apply if you change tariff or supplier before this date.

Key Facts of Go-Fix6:

* Go-Fix 6 is available for sale from 09 May 2011until 31 July 2011.
* Energy prices will be fixed at the price set at the launch of the product until 31 July 2012.
* For the average dual fuel direct debit customer, the charges are 3.8% lower on an annual basis when compared with npower's standard (off-line) variable tariff, until 31 July 2012. Annual charges for other customers including those taking only one fuel will vary and may be higher than standard.
* Available to new and existing Dual Fuel and Single Fuel customers paying by Monthly Direct debit.
* Customers must manage their account online.
* A termination fee of £20 per fuel may apply if a customer wishes to leave the product tariff before 31 July 2012.
* At the end of the fixed period customer will revert to standard online prices for their area unless they agree to be placed on another suitable npower product.
* IGT Charges of £31.50 per annum are charged where the customer is connected via an IGT network.

At the same time Go-Fix5 has been withdrawn from sale. Originally planned to be available until 31st May the launch of Go-Fix6 has meant that Go-Fix 5 is no longer available to new customers.

Scottish Power -£40 cashback for switchers!

With immediate effect from today 6th May 2011, ScotttishPower is offering all customers a £20 per service cahsback on any energy transfer arranged through GET ME CHEAP BILLS.COM

The cashback applies to all tariffs with the exception of Online Energy Saver 14.

The cashback payment will be paid directly to you by Energylinx following completion of your transfer to ScottishPower.

Payment is likely to be around 4 - 6 weeks from the date of your transfer.

Cheapest Deal on Market Pulled

British Gas has pulled its cheapest product from the market - Websaver 11.

Until it was removed, Websaver 11 had been the cheapest online energy tariff available.

British Gas is not the only energy company to pull its cheapest deal and replace it with a more expensive version; last week, ScottishPower and E.ON did the same.

E.ON’s Save Online 6 was replaced with the Save Online 7, £59 more expensive, while ScottishPower’s Online Saver 13 was replaced with the Online Saver 14, which is £53 more expensive.
