British Gas Energyshare Tariff

British Gas has announced the withdrawal from market & the existence of Future Energy and Future Energy Plus, along with the launch of Energyshare with immediate effect.

Energyshare is an innovative idea, supported by River Cottage that aims to fundamentally change the way people source, use and generate their energy.

Customers who sign up will see the amount of electricity used by them matched with British renewable energy. British Gas will give the customer a choice of a free Energy Efficiency gadget from a selection of four. They will also donate £10 every year to the energyshare fund and the customer can vote online to have their say on where the money goes.

* This is available to new or existing customers
* This is available to electricity only customers or Dual fuel customers with gas standard tariff
*Only available to credit meter customers paying by Direct Debit

As part of the energyshare launch British Gas will be automatically migrating their green base of customers off their current green proposition onto energyshare. Customers will receive a letter which gave them information about energyshare and the ability to opt out of the migration and move onto standard energy.

This tariff is available at http://www.getmecheapbills.com
